What to Do When Your World is Falling Apart

So what did Jesus do when His world was falling apart?

1) He ask for help. “37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me” (Mt. 26:37-38).

2) He ran to the Father.  “Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me” (Mt. 26:39).

3) He kept praying even when nothing seemed to change. “So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing” (Mt. 26:44).

4) He surrendered to the Father’s will. ““My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done” (Mt. 7:42).

5) He continued to trust the Father even when nothing changed. “Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit” (Luke 23:46).
