America is Blessed!

7/5/2026

 Psalm 33:10-22

It is a celebration of freedom, liberty, and the opportunity for the pursuit of happiness.

"The First Amendment has erected a wall of separation between church and state, but that wall is a one-directional wall; it keeps the government from running the church, but it makes sure that Christian principles will always stay in government."

"Do not let anyone claim the tribute of American patriotism if they ever attempt to remove religion from politics."

#1. There is only one God.

“One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”

We are reminded of His love in deliverance from evil.

We are reminded that no other gods should we worship.

No idols shall be before us.

God is a jealous God.

God will deliberately judge those who abuse His love.

We are told not to abuse or misuse His name in an evil way.

We should teach or preach the truth of God's Word.

We should be able to, with full confidence, teach why we believe what we believe.

We should quickly defend our faith.

"I am The Lord thy God; you shall have no other gods before Me."

#2. Spirit is better than strength.

Psalm 33:16 (NIV) “No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength.”

His Word spoke the heavens into place. v. 6.

His Hand controls the sea. v. 7.

His Word spoke the earth into existence.

He foils the plans of the wicked.

His counsel has never failed.

It is the Spirit of the Lord and the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Zechariah 4:6(b) (NIV) “...'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.”

We have more strength in America than ever.

What we must have is the power of the Holy Spirit in our nation.

“Revive us again, oh Lord.”

“The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks and make your home on the heights, you who say to yourself, ‘Who can bring me down to the ground?’”

Proverbs 28:26 (NIV) “He who trusts in himself is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom is kept safe.”

Hosea 10:13 (NIV) “But you have planted wickedness, you have reaped evil, you have eaten the fruit of deception. Because you have depended on your own strength and on your many warriors...”

1 Corinthians 10:12 “So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!”

“Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side. My great concern is to be on God’s side.”

#3. There is hope for the future.

Psalm 33:20-21 (NIV) “We wait in hope for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV) “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Luke 4:18 (NIV) "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and the recovery of  sight for the blind, to release the oppressed.”

“Give me liberty or give me death!”

“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians – not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

"I have now given everything I own to my children. There is one more thing I wish I could give them, and that is Christ. Because, if they have everything I gave them and don't have Christ, they have nothing."

2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (NIV) “But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
