Galatians 5:22
Galatians 5:22 “The fruit of the Spirit is…patience…”
Proverbs 16:32 (GN) “It is better to be patient than powerful…to win control over yourself than over whole cities.”
One of the hardest things is to wait on God.
"It's not too late. I'm here for a miracle."
1. Interruptions.
2. Inconveniences.
3. Irritations.
What irritates you the most?
4. Inactivity.
The Bible says that impatience will get you in trouble.
Patience grows out of peace of mind.
#1. Discover a new perspective.
Patience begins by changing the way you think.
Proverbs 19:11 “A man’s wisdom gives him patience. It is his glory to overlook an offense.”
Proverbs 20:24 “A man’s steps are directed by the Lord.”
Proverbs 14:29 “A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays his folly.”
#2. Develop your sense of humor.
Proverbs 14:30 (LB) “A relaxed attitude lengthens a man’s life.”
Humor is a tension dissolver.
Psalm 2:4 “The One enthroned in heaven laughs.”
Proverbs 17:22 “Being cheerful keeps you happy and healthy.”
#3. Deepen your love.
1 Corinthians 13:4 “Love is patient.”
When you're filled with love, almost nothing can provoke you to anger.
Ephesians 4:2 (LB) “Be patient with each other, making allowances for each other’s faults, because of your love.”
#4. Depend on the Lord.
Colossians 1:11 “May He strengthen you, in His glorious might, with ample power to meet whatever comes with fortitude, patience, and joy!”
Faith demonstrates how much you trust God, and patience reflects your faith.
