John 10:11-18

The quiet streams and green meadows were few and far between.

They need a shepherd to care for them, to guide them, to protect them.

We simply lack the ability and the will to manage ourselves well.

His message today is more relevant than ever.

I am the Good Shepherd.

How did we lose our way?

Why was there no one to proclaim the truth, and why was no one listening?

We can't manage this world on our own.

"I'm the one you're looking for."

1. The Good Shepherd Will Take Care of You, Come What May.

The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want. (Psalm 23:1 KJV)

"The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve."

They didn't take care of the flock.

The reality is that the shepherd's job was anything but elegant.

2. The Good Shepherd Will Stay With You, No Matter What

Any successful relationship requires a no-matter-what commitment.

We all need to be prepared to stay.

No matter what.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4 KJV)

"I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." (Hebrews 13:5 KJV)

For the LORD will not cast off His people, neither will He forsake His inheritance. (Psalm 94:14 KJV)

3. The Good Shepherd Will Teach You To Know His Voice.

The others would stay in place until they heard their shepherd's call.

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

When we're ready to listen, His words give us the help we need in each and every moment.

His voice is consistent with His Word.

His voice is soft and tender and, at the same time, strong and firm.

He is asking that you let Him be the Good Shepherd in your life.

He's the one you're looking for.
