Isaiah 43:1, 2, 15-19
You have the power, ability, and opportunity to change.
#1. Be secure in your faith.
Isaiah 43:1 (NIV) "But now, this is what the Lord says – He who created you, O Jacob, He who formed you, O Israel: 'Fear not, for I have redeemed you: I have summoned you by name; you are mine.'"
They have lapsed into a paranoid lifestyle.
What has happened to them is what happens to us far too often.
"You are not standing upon sinking sand but upon the rock."
It is a covenant of love for God's children.
A man is going nowhere if he lives in the realm of the conditional.
Losers visualize the penalties of failure.
Winners visualize the rewards of success.
#2. Yesterday is history.
Isaiah 43:18 (NIV) “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.”
Yesterday ended last night.
We should not draw our inspiration from memories alone but
from hope of what is yet to come.
"Use the past as a springboard, not a sofa."
Remember that past success can numb you to the challenge of walking by faith.
"Whatever yesterday was, it is history. Let it go and launch forward."
3. Expect a better tomorrow.
Isaiah 43:19 (NIV) "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."
Plan purposefully.
Prepare prayerfully.
Proceed positively.
Pursue persistently.
Isaiah 42:9 (NIV) “See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being, I announce them to you.”
"Expect something new. Plan for the future."
Isaiah 40:31 (NIV) "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint."
If you believe something is going to happen in your future, then, and only then, do you prepare for it.
Fill your mouth with praise.
Start walking toward the promise.
Live toward the blessing!
He has given you His truth, in His Word, and it has the power to change your life.
