Psalm 23:1

Like King David, we can also experience God's grace and

mercy and strength in our lives everyday.

1) The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2) He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3) He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5) Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

"the God who has been my shepherd all my life to this day." (Genesis 48:15 NIV)

He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the

lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall

gently lead those that are with young. (Isaiah 40:11)

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." (John 10:11)

"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me..." (John 10:14)

Sheep are completely helpless, completely defenseless,

completely unable to look after themselves.

For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "I myself will

search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks

after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look

after my sheep." (Ezekiel 34:11)

In the sheep / shepherd relationship, the shepherd is in control.

We seek after that perfect something that we think will make us

content, but when we get it, we find it full of holes and flaws.

"In the end, success is an empty bag."

Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves

wealth is never satisfied with his income. (Ecclesiastes 5:10)

1. Look at what you have, not what you don’t have.

Enjoy things for what they are instead of only seeing them for

what they aren't.

2. Measure your life in terms of blessings, not possessions.

But no amount of stuff can replace the intangible blessings of

life.

Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot. (Luke 12:15 The Message.)

Relationships. Friendships. Love. Happiness.

"What I have in God far surpasses anything I don’t have in this world."

3. What you really need will come to you when you really need it.

I don't always get as much as I want, but I always get as much

as I need.

You don't have to sweat the daily details of life.

You can live day-to-day with the confidence that God is watching out for you.

1. Memorize verse one.

2. Say thanks for your things.

3. Count your blessings.

4. Start a prayer list.

There is no need for you to live your life in anything less than

the fullness of his peace, because he's a good shepherd.
