He is willing to make your life the absolute best that it can be.
"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10 NKJV)
He didn't just call the Apostle Peter, he caught him.
(v. 9) Then Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; from now on you will catch men."
1. This is a good reason to keep trying, even when the
results don't come easy.
Jesus knows more about this situation than I do, so I'll try again.
When he tells you to keep trying, there's a good reason for it.
By trying again, he put himself in a position to be outrageously
blessed by God.
2. He is able to recognize your true potential.
He suddenly realized that he was in the presence of greatness.
We see our limitations, our failures, our weaknesses, our sinfulness.
Your life can be defined by your contribution to the everlasting
kingdom of God.
3. It's worth the risk of leaving everything behind.
God can use you right where you are in ways you may not realize right now.
(v. 11) So when they had brought their boats to land, they
forsook all and followed him.
Peter began a journey of transformation that took him from being a simple fisherman to becoming a great man of God.
