1 Corinthians 3:18-23
"I'm the king of the world."
I'm-a-little-too-impressed-with-myself moments.
They thought they were much further along than they actually were.
He expects us to treat this relationship with care.

1. Start Telling Yourself the Truth About Everything.
  • "Why would I sell a 20 year old car with only 40,000 miles on it?"
  • "Do not lie to yourselves."
  • The biggest lies you will ever tell are the lies you tell to yourself.
  • Know who He is.
  • I have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
2. Make It Your Aim to be Teachable.
  • Become a Lifelong Student.
  • "I know all I need to know about this particular topic."
  • We tell ourselves that we know more than we actually know.
  • We think we can know something without ever having been taught something.
  • "They would have doubtless become excellent scholars if they had not been so fully persuaded of their own scholarship."
  • He who knows not, and knows not that he knows not, is a fool; avoid him.
  • He who knows not, and knows that he knows not, is a wise man; teach him.
3. Once and for all, Put Away the Pedestal.
  • The "always-right" group.
  • The "always-wrong" group.
  • Find your identity in Christ alone.
  • "All things belong to you."
  • Becoming a more faithful follower of Jesus Christ.
  • In your journey toward discovering a meaningful Christ-centered life.
  • Makes them work for your good and His glory,
  • Build each day on your relationship with Jesus Christ,
  • This word is powerful & it brings growth in our lives.
  • "Let no man deceive himself."
  • Few people criticize their senses and hold them accountable for truth.
  • Honesty is the first chapter of the book of wisdom.
